Good Morning from Colorado!! There has been so much change in our lives this last year that I don't really know where to start! THE BEGINNING!! That's where we will start...
As of October of last year we announced that Dayton and Abigail were pregnant! We were so excited, but this post needs to go back in time a bit.
If you have read any of this blog, you will know that we bought a farm in 2010 in Oklahoma. WELL, we are no longer on that farm and the story behind that is very long. We truly enjoyed being on the farm and the guys were beginning to finish the house. We were living in a bus and Barrett and Devin and Sar were living in the 5th wheel. It was nice being close to extended family and the sunsets were amazing!! We had wonderful long-term plans for the farm and then the Father made it abundantly clear that we are not to get too settled anywhere!
Now, first off, I would like to say that I understand that our family looks a bit different and maybe we act a bit different (homechurch, homeschool, etc.), but we really are just a family trying to follow the Father the best that we know how! It is with a sad heart that I must say some of our neighbors were uneasy with us. Yes, someone in that area called the State of Oklahoma and the things they said about us were very unbecoming, to say the least. The agent from the State was very kind, but made it very clear that he would get more calls about us. He even said that he was embarrassed to be there. He realized as soon as he got to the farm that the things he had been told about us were not true, but we had to understand that there were people in the area that were not comfortable with us being there.
Well, it was time for a family meeting!!! PRONTO!! We were really torn! Do we leave and have to start over somewhere else or do we stay knowing that we are not wanted there? The verse in Matthew 10:14 kept coming to mind. "If you are not received, then when you depart from that house or city, you should shake off the dust of your feet." Well, that is what our family decided to do. We left our farm and that area and that state! The Father made it all happen! Our business in Oklahoma sold quickly and the farm rented incredibly fast and He opened doors in Colorado. The guys bought a business in Colorado and it is running smoother and better than the one in Oklahoma ever did! We have been so blessed here in Colorado! I am sad to say that we are accepted better by non-believers up here than by our fellows believers in the Bible Belt of Oklahoma! We (our family) as followers of the Messiah Yahushua (Jesus), who have been bought with His blood, and trust in Him for our eternal salvation, have more in common with those folks in Oklahoma than with the people who have accepted us in Colorado, but sadly the enemy (satan) blinded them to that just because we look a little different and don't go to the local church! It makes me ponder the verse in John 13:35. "By this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one to another." It really is a sad statement when those who call themselves believers have no love for other believers!
WHEW!!! Ok, that is the short version of all the things that happened. The Father has brought us to an amazingly beautiful place and life is GREAT!! We are so grateful for His love and guidance!
I am sorry for not keeping up to date on the blog, but I had to take time to pray and seek the Father on whether He wanted me to continue this way of communication. Well, here I am! My prayer is that all of you have peace where you live and that the Father will lead you in all His ways!!
I will be posting pictures of the new addition to our family and will try to get all of you caught up on what we have been doing and what is happening around our new home!!!
Shalom to All from the Warrens
