New Moon Cookout!!!
Howdy Folks and Welcome to the Warrens New Moon Cookout!!!
Last night was the new moon. That means we started a new month according to the Hebrew calendar! In the Scriptures we are told to blow the trumpet on the new moon. (Numbers 10:10) We only have a shofar ( a trumpet made out of an animals horn). SO...that is what we blow! Oh, and did I mention that we FEAST!!! I would have liked to have a picture of the moon for the blog, but that didn't work out! It was really beautiful!
FUN, FOOD, and FELLOWSHIP!!!
We had all three last night! We spotted the moon, blew the shofar, ate lots of wonderful food, and spent time visiting! The children played music until 11:00pm. What a gift from the Father in Heaven to be able to praise Him with singing!
Today has been a day of rest at the ranch. Monty and I went on a walk to the garden and took naps. The children have been playing games and getting rested for a big work day tomorrow. Putting up fence is on the agenda for tomorrow and that will make for a long day. BUT, tomorrow night is Sabbath and we will again get a rest from our labors!
We pray that all of you will be blessed and have a terrific weekend!

Mighty is the Wind!!!
We have learned how mighty the wind can be around here. Our army tent has been blown down twice and now it has finally given up entirely! We spent the last two weeks on a trip to a Family Camp in Kentucky. Arrived back to the ranch on Friday afternoon to this...
The tent is now a thing of the past. It tore right in two! The guys are now in the process of renting a storage unit to put our "stuff." I am sure that most of our things are probably not worth saving from the wind and rain, but for some reason we are determined to save them.
The bus has truly been wonderful!! Even in the midst of all the bad weather, it has provided us with terrific shelter.
We now have a new family living on the property with us. They are staying in the 5th wheel. It has been a blessing to have them here. They took care of the animals and gardens while we were gone. We are really starting to look like a campground. The guys now have 6 campsites ready with water, sewer, and electricity. Looking good!!
The water is all set up to pump from the lake to the gardens. This has been a huge help! So much easier to water than when we had to haul water. The gardens are doing OK! Something got in and ate all the peas, but the onions and potatos are looking terrific. We are supposed to freeze here tonight and our hope is to put in tomatos and bell peppers soon.
Life on the ranch is not easy, but we think it is the best!! Every little thing we do to improve the place just makes things better. We are determined and pray that the Father in heaven will bless our efforts!!

THIS WORLD---A Place of Joy and Sorrow!!
Yes Folks! It is official! We now have electricity without the use of generators!!!
The electric company came out on Tuesday and by Friday we were functioning without the noise of generators!
It was amazing to watch these guys at work. They had all kinds of equipment that my guys thought would be great to have in our barn!
Speaking of equipment, Sarah has wanted a grease gun for a LONG time!! I know, she is sweet and little shy, but this girl becomes a different person when she talks about grease guns. WELL, she now has her gun. It might be hard to keep her from greasing anything that moves!!! She is a very happy camper!!
This week has also been terrific because we purchased a washer, dryer, and fridge. All used, but new to us. The guys hooked them up in the big tent because there is no where to put them in the campers. It is going to be great to wash clothes here at home and not have to go to the laundry. We should be able to save some money as well.

The children have been playing worship music every night and are starting to sound really good. They have 2 guitars, 1 mandolin, 1 keyboard, a set of bongos, a ukulele and a bass. If they use the computer they also have a set of drums. They are having a grand time and we are enjoying listening to them.
Monty ordered our barn yesterday. It should be here in around 6-7 weeks. There is SO much to do on this place. We meet ourselves coming and going, but it is wonderful to be here. Everyone is pitching in and working hard. It is a GOOD life!
This week has also been one of sorrow! We spent last fall working in some of the towns in the West Bank of Israel. In the town of Itamar last Friday a family lost their lives in a brutal attack! We understand that bad things can happen anywhere, but these people were killed just because of who they are and where they live. We became friends with some of the families that live there. When it gets quiet at night, after everyone goes to bed, my thoughts turn to these families. My prayer is for their protection. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and all of Israel!! May the Father in Heaven turn His face back to His children and begin to bless us once again!
Blessings to all of you from all of us!!!

HOWDY!!!! from the plains of Oklahoma
Yes, we are still alive and breathing after our trip to Colorado! Haven't been very good about keeping you up to date, but I will try to remedy that with this post.
We have a lot of pictures from our trip and those will continue to be added to the page. We had a terrific time in Colorado and we also have been to Tennessee since we last wrote. That was a very interesting trip and we will tell you all about it!!
While we were in Colorado, Monty bought a bus in Tennessee! WOW!! We don't have any photos yet of the bus, but they will be on the site soon!! This bus needs some tender, loving care, but the engine runs good and we can't wait to take a trip! When we tried to pressurize the water system, water came shooting out of the shower, BUT IN THE WRONG PLACE!!! UGH!!! Oh, and the toilet leaked as well. That's OK! We knew it needed work and we were prepared for some problems. The guys worked hard to fix all the water leaks and we thought that all was well. UNTIL...we took out first showers. After Will took his shower, he was 3rd in line, the carpet around the shower was soaking wet. So, we knew there was more work to be done!! Monty found the leak and just replaced the part yesterday. He ran water through the system and all seems to be working! WOO HOO!!!
We have just ridden out some really tough weather here in Oklahoma!!! The last 2 weeks have been somewhat miserable. Our campers have frozen up more than once and we have all had to learn how to live without running water. My folks have been gracious and have let us take showers at their house a couple of times. The Hasses have been wonderful. They just 'go with the flow or without the flow,' of water!! It has not been easy to live out here and they have been real troopers!

BUT...
The weather these last three days has been GREAT!! The sun has shown and the temps have risen. Work just moves along at a faster pace when the weather is nice. Dayton has gotten all the leach lines dug and Ed and Will have been busy filling in all the septic line trenches with dirt. Dayton also cleared the spot where the barn/house will be and that made Sarah and I very happy! We can actually see how the barn will sit on the land. We also found out that the land slopes down to the lake in a beautiful way!! Needless to say, we are so excited! Sometimes it takes only a little to make us happy! SOMETIMES!!! Monty brought in sand and the guys have been putting it around the septic tank as it fills up. Hard to believe how excited one can get about a septic system! Such is life on a new place!! We also ordered some gravel and the guys have been spreading that out on the driveway! It looks very nice and will help when we start to get rain! Dayton plowed and disced the potato patch and Sarah's herb garden. We will be putting in potatoes very soon. Sarah has a beautiful plan all drawn out on graph paper for her herb garden. It will be a long term project, but will be amazing when she gets it done.
Barrett is continuing to work hard on the internet business. He has had quite a few orders lately! It seems that business is picking up! A friend of ours, Joshua Williams, just created a new website for us and it looks great! Now Barrett has to load all of our product onto the site! He has lots to do and he still finds time to help out on the ranch as well! Usually he works on orders at night and the ranch during the day!
Monty is outside right now with the electric company man. Yes, we have decided to hook up to the grid! OK, maybe we are being soft and wimpy, but electricity will make things much quieter (no generators) and much easier!!!
We all went through a nasty little bug not too long ago, but now everyone seems to be well! Life is always full of surprises. Some good, some NOT so good, but we are together and we are healthy. LIFE is wonderful, not perfect, but wonderful. The ranch is starting to feel like home and that is a very good thing!
ENJOY YOUR LIFE!!!! It is the only one you have!!
